Harvest Home Gathering
Labor Day Weekend
August 28, 2008 - September 1, 2008
Hartford County 4-H Camp, Marlborough, CT
We gather together to celebrate and give thanks for the harvest that will sustain us through the dark months ahead. Join us for a gathering celebrating community, family, home and the harvest.
Harvest Home Gathering is an indoor/outdoor event, which promotes celebration, knowledge, spirituality, enlightenment, family and fellowship. By virtue of its very name, we embrace the collective spirit of our kindred. We work together in harmony and compassion to achieve that, which is sacred. Together we plant the seeds of our future and together we shall enjoy the fruitful harvest of our collective efforts.
This event is being held on Labor Day Weekend Thursday, August 28 through Monday, September 1, 2008. Registration hours will be Thursday between 3:00 and 11:00PM. The Welcoming Dinner will begin on Thursday, August 28th at 6:00PM. The Closing Ceremony will begin on Monday at 1:00. The venue for this gathering will be located at the Hartford County 4H Camp, 247 South Rd., Marlborough, Connecticut.

The weekend will consist of over 50 classes and workshops with World Renowned Authors, a Friday night Dance featuring D.J. music, a Saturday night concert with Raquy and the Cavemen (http://www.raquyandthecavemen.com) A Sunday night Renaissance Feast with musical performance by Cross Quarters. There will also be nightly drumming circles, nightly bonfires and an assortment of vendors! In order to build and maintain "community" we ask that once you arrive on site, you remain until the end of the gathering on Monday.
The camp is located in scenic Marlborough, CT on 100 acres of land. The camp is adjacent to the Salmon River State Forest with many trails for hiking, meditating and nature observation. The Vending Area is located in the main camp area and there is a fire circle in the woods. Cabin space is limited but there is an unlimited amount of space for tents. There is a separate shower house with facilities next to the cabins. Due to the rough terrain and location of some of the activities, we unfortunately cannot accommodate handicapped or disabled members of our community. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Harvest Home Gathering is both honored and privileged to offer a variety of well-known and respected speakers from various disciplines including: Witchcraft, Celtic Studies, Shamanism, Thelemic and Ceremonial Magic, Faery Tradition, Voodoo, Norse, Quantum Theory and more.
